Mary Christine “Chris” Fisher, born December 1955 in Fremont, California, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in San Rafael on June 29, 2010.
Chris received her B.A. in Music and Certificate in Music Therapy from Long BeachStateUniversity in 1979.
Until her death, she was the sole proprietor of Chris Fisher Bookkeeping with dozens of clients throughout the Bay Area.
Her first love was music and she competed and performed for years as an accomplished concert flautist. She enjoyed reading, writing, swimming, opera, hand blown glass, antiques, and her nephews and nieces.
Her accomplishments were as diverse as her loves. She worked in SonomaStateHospital as a therapist, taught flute and music appreciation, wrote for various news publications in the North Bay, was a member of the North Bay Builders Exchange, excelled as a dessert cook and party organizer.
She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Fisher of Fremont, her brothers Mike (Tammy) Fisher of San Francisco, Pat (Bert) Fisher of Fremont, Tim Fisher of San Rafael, sisters Jin Joo “Beth” Lee Perry of New Mexico, Katherine “Kitty” (Ken) Elvin of Scotts Valley, nieces Linsay Fisher, Britteny Erhart and Anne Elvin, nephews Adrian Chavez, Levi Fisher, Harley Fisher and Jayden Erhart, and soul mate and love David Reichard of Corte Madera. A private memorial service is planned for family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Flute Association in honor of Chris's years of dedication to the art.
